Rainy Monday!!!!

First I have to say thanks for all the comments they make me want to continue to communicate. Tam I'm very happy that you find help from my words. And thanks for following... Today was not one of my greatest days but, the show must go on. I took care of things and made sure I came home and changed and went to the gym regardless of the rain. Isn't there a saying "in every one's life a little rain must fall"? Well today was definitly that day for rain... But, on a brighter note found out today that my best friend's mother is healthy. And when you get news like that you have to believe my problems are noting compared to some others out there. Right? My brother wishes he could be more positive like me and I told him he could if he wanted too! Am I wrong in thinking you can be as happy as you allow your self to be?
Ok...ok I'm off my soap box! So I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope you all have a great week. Oh yeah and if anyone wants to particpate my roommate/bestie #2 Krissy have registered for Spring Sprint 5K walk/run in Altamonte Springs, FL @ Crans Roost Park April 9th:
Purpose
Provide funding for the "Independent Play" programs for the Altamonte Advisory Board for the Disabled and for the Altamonte Christian School's "Community Outreach" programs.

The Run will take place at Cranes Roost Park, 274 Cranes Roost Blvd. in Altamonte Springs.
Parking is in the Altamonte Mall parking lot.

5K - Kids 10 and under: $10
Kids Run - Kids 10 and under: Free
Every parent must fill out childs registration form
5K - Students 11-17: $15
5K - Adults: $25
5K - Race Day: $30

It would be great to see you guys out there if you live here. I'm not sure how much of the 3.1 miles that I will run but I'm committed to it!

Thank You, Thank You!

I would first list to say thank you to everyone that has taken the time to visit my blog. Today was a good day for me and that was due to all my friends and family that sent me words for encouragement. I'm not really sure if you all understand how happy they make me. I know in the past I was definitely known as the girl with the attitude. I think that was because in my heart of hearts I was unhappy. Now don't get me wrong I'm skipping through the daisies but, I smile more,I'm more confident around people and I know that if I'm a better person then maybe that will make others around me better too.
I have a friend named Chee, she is very beautiful and fit! She is what you would call a skinny bitch but, I love her. I always wondered why she always wanted to work out sooooooo..... much! Well know I get it, it makes you feel better and happier!
When I started last year I went and joined a small gym nothing glamorous. I also was able to have access via Netflix to other types of exercises like pilates and yoga. I worked out for 3 days a week and eating breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, second snack, dinner and if I was still hungry a small snack after dinner. All of my food was measured and weighted. Within 6 weeks I was off of my blood pressure medication, PCOS medication, vitamin D, and calcium with extra vitamin D. Prior to this I had been on all these medications for at least 5 years and I had lost 30 lbs. My doctor was very happy to see that. So now it's almost time for me to go back to see my doctor and see what she says now after 114 lbs.

Before and After Pictures from 2007-2011







I have to say this last weekend has made me really take a look back at my journey. As you can see from the pictures they range from Dec.2007-Mar.2011. I hope that you can see it has been difficult to make changes in my life but, when I really decided to take the steps toward change it worked and will continue to work for me. This last year has been a Hard Long road to take due to family and friend issues. But when I look at the time I put in to working out and eating right I know it works. As of Saturday March 19th I have lost a total of 114lbs. I hope that anyone that reads about me understands that I have not taken any pills or anything other than excerise and eating right! I am here to tell everyone... what they say is right if you excerise and eat right it will work and the weight will come off.

Ok.... bare with me...

I really had to think about doing this. Blogging I mean, there are so many blogs out and I didn't want to be lost in the crowd. I am currently 5 days away from my 39th birthday and I have had this feeling that I need to get some things off my chest per-say. I started my weight loss journey April 2010 at a whopping 371 lbs. And now almost a year later I'm at 265 lbs. 106lbs weight loss is nothing to snooze at.

I started my life change after a trip with my younger sister to visit our brother who at the time was working in up state New York. The entire time on the trip my body hurt and I was down right unhappy. I knew that I had to make a change or my life was going to be over sooner than I could imagine. There were other factors that made me want to make the change also but, my health was my main reason.

I guess in my crazy way of thinking while talking to myself "there are so many things that I cannot control right now but,my weight is so why not get off my BIG BUTT and make a change."  And that is what began my change toward a better life.

I don't know if anyone will ever read my blog but,if you do...  I hope that my words can help at least one person find the will power to make a change for the better.
